Remember Knowledge is Power
The prefrontal cortex (the CEO or command center of the brain) helps with attention, emotions, self-control and decision-making. This part of your brain sits behind your forehead.
The hippocampus is a complex, seahorse-shaped structure located deep within the brain’s temporal lobe. It is a vital component of the limbic system, primarily responsible for processing, consolidating, and organizing short-term memories into long-term memories, as well as managing spatial navigation and orientation.
Dopamine
It is a chemical messenger (neurotransmitter) in the brain that drives your body’s reward system. It is released when you experience something enjoyable—like eating a great meal or accomplishing a goal—and motivates you to seek out that rewarding feeling again.
Serotonin is a vital chemical messenger and neurotransmitter that regulates mood, sleep, digestion, and body temperature. Often called the “happiness hormone,” it carries signals between nerve cells throughout your brain and body.
The parasympathetic nervous system (PSNS) is the part of your autonomic nervous system that controls the body’s ability to relax, heal, and recover. Often called the “rest and digest” system, it acts as a counterbalance to the stress-driven “fight-or-flight” response.
